Located on the south bank of the Nairobi National Park, this atypical place is the work of the German artist Nani Croze who has been living in Kenya for more than 30 years.
In a labyrinth of mosaics, stained glass and iron sculptures, the Kitengala combines the magnificence of the local flora with art in its full glory. Built around a workshop and training centre where glassworks classes are taught, choose among six little cottages with evocative names (Glass House, Cat House, Mud Hut).
With patchwork quilts, wall coverings, rustic carpets and colourful furniture, as well as recycled glass, the effect is both welcoming and surprising but never breaks with the wild and natural surroundings. Even the pool area, punctuated with sculptures, perfectly illustrates the spirit of the place. At the Kitengela, you will be immersed in the powerful universe of this established artist known for her glass art.
