Your Award Miles are valid for only 36 months. After this period, they expire. But you can extend this period of validity by booking a paid flight on AIR FRANCE, KLM or one of the SkyTeam partners at least once every three years.
Important : From 1 April 2009, for Ivory members, the validity period for all Award Miles will be reduced from 36 months to 20 months. All Miles-earning fare flights on AIR FRANCE, KLM, Air Europa, Kenya Airways, Aircalin or any other SkyTeam member, will systematically extend the Miles Award validity period by 20 months.
For Elite members: From 1 April 2009, if you have Silver, Gold, or Platinum membership, your Flying Blue Elite status will protect your Award Miles from expiring, as long as you keep your Elite level.
To ensure your account is credited with Award Miles, always give your Flying Blue number when :
making a reservation with AIR FRANCE, KLM, Air Europa, Kenya Airways, and SkyTeam* or any other airline partner,
